43 York Street, when purchased, looked from the front facade, a little like a railway cottage. For many years it had been hacked around by previous owners on limited budgets. It occupied a prominent position and with some radical plans, could be made into something special.

The front facade was completely re-worked and simplified but at the same time made to look grander. Two re-worked beautiful bay windows were installed together with original Bath stone sills and canopy porch.

A single garage was added by using similar architecture borrowed from a neighbouring property. The side and complete rear of the property was re-worked.
